Is it necessary to book courses in advance?

Yes a booking is necessary, which you can make on our website.

How can I make a booking for a course?

You can book courses online on our website. Go to “Courses” or “Holiday Courses”, respectively. This will take you to the course selection. By clicking “continue” you can choose a date and make a booking. After receiving your booking we will send you a confirmation mail.

How do I pay for a course?

You can pay the course on its first day on site in cash. We don’t accept credit cards for courses and rental.

What happens to my booking if my course is cancelled due to lack of snow?

If we cancel a course the booking becomes invalid and you can make a new booking for another course.

Can I cancel a booked course, e.g. because of an illness or for another reason?

You can cancel until 48 hrs prior to the course free of charge. For later cancellations we have to charge following cancellation fees:

If the participant does not show up for the course 100% of the total.
For cancellation less than 24 hrs prior to the course 50% of the total.
For cancellation less than 48 hrs prior to the course 20% of total.

What are the course hours?

Our courses take place 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm. There is no supervison during lunch break between 12pm and 1pm.

Our 4hr snowboard courses outside holidays take place on Saturdays 10am to 2pm. During holidays the course take place at our regular times.

Are there also 4hr courses on Sundays?

No, Sunday is always the second day of our 8hr courses. It is not possible to start a course on a Sunday due to different skill levels.

What’s the difference between standard and intensive courses?

In standard courses there are up to 10 participants per instructor. The maximum number of participants per instructor in intensive courses is 5.

Is my course going to happen?

You can check if your course is going to happen from 5pm one day prior. We encourage you to check, especially if wheater conditions are uncertain.

How many participants are in a standard course?

10 participants per instructor max.

How long ahead do I have to make a booking?

To secure a spot in a course, we recommend you to make an early booking meaning at least 10 days prior, especially during high season.

Including gear, what does that mean?

For ski courses this includes skis, boots, and poles.

For snowboard courses this includes snowboard and boots.

 

Can I also rent a helmet?

We also provide helmets for 5.–€/day. Please  check the appropriate box when you make your booking.

What time do I have to be at Mehliskopf on the day of my course?

If you are renting gear you need to be there 1 hour prior to the beginning of your course on the first day.

If you are bringing your own gear half an hour prior is enough.

Where is your ski school and your ski rental?

Our ski school/rental is on the right hand side of the very right lift station at the edge of the forest.

Do you also offer private lessons?

You can also make a booking for private lessons with us. On weekdays this is possible any time during operation hours. On weekends and during holidays you can take private lessons after 3pm. Please make a reservation by phone in either case.

How much are private lessons?

For one person it is 40.–€/hour and 15.–€/hour for any additional person. If you also need gear it is 15.–€/person and 5.–€/person for helmets for the duration of the lessons.

What are the opening hours for your ski and snowboard rental?

Our rental is open every day during the operation hours of the lift from 9am to 10pm.

Changes of the opening hours are possible. We will comunicate them on our home page.

Final ski and snowboard return: 9:45pm.
